We tell the triumphant stories of underrepresented communities, where the underestimated are free to be joyful, whole and victorious.

I'm a filmmaker, actor, author, writer, keynote speaker and an adaptive athlete. For a long time, I chose to stay silent in fear that my voice didn't belong in spaces I admired. My path didn't start here. It started when I lost my mobility due to a neurological condition. I began documenting my journey back to wellness and good health, building a following of 40,000+ followers across platforms and a creative partnership with Peloton that earned a Webby Award. It continued through a years-long relationship with New York Road Runners, running the NYC Half and becoming the subject of the New York Road Runners documentary Her Race, Her Pace: Shaunta-Mae's 13.1 Journey, which has earned a Regional Emmy Award nomination. I've spent three years as a guest speaker and mentor for Sisters of Nia, working with adolescent girls in urban communities through Afrocentric, values-based programming. As a certified personal trainer, adaptive athlete and foster care advocate, movement and storytelling have always been tangled together for me. Mable Ann Productions exists to tell triumphant stories, where the underestimated and underrepresented have the freedom to be joyful, whole and victorious.

The Meaning: Mable + Ann

Mable Ann Productions is named after my late grandmother and my mother. It's a for-profit production company, but it carries a very personal weight: everything made under this name is made with the same care, delicacy, and love these two beautiful women exemplify.
